Popeye Village : One of the major attractions of visitors of the Maltese Islands
Situated in Anchor Bay, Popeye Village is undoubtedly one of the major attractions of visitors on the Maltese Islands. This village was built as a movie set for the largely forgotten 1980 Popeye film starring with Robin Williams. It has been converted has a small attraction fun park consisting of a collection of rustic and ramshackle wooden buildings.
Located approximately 20 kilometres from the capital Valletta, the park offers a wonderful walk for children and parents alike in a quasi-authentic village. Children will be happy to meet the main characters of the comic strip while parents will be able to discover the behind-the-scenes of the shooting with the entertainment team.
Popeye village also offers entertainment such as a boat ride, water trampolines, a beach with sunbathing deck, shops and many seasonal activities.
