As June comes to an end and summer settles in with full brightness, we’re delighted to share a glimpse of what this sun-filled month has brought to Citrus Travel, and to our beautiful island home of Malta.

Golden Hours on Water
Some of our most memorable moments came during the magical hour of sunset, when the sky turns to fire and the sea glows in response. Guests enjoyed sunset kayaking and paddleboarding experiences, gliding silently along the shore as Malta’s historic skyline slowly lit up in golden light. These intimate journeys offered a new perspective of the island, one only visible from the sea.
Festival Season Begins
Summer in Malta means festivals, and June marks the start of a vibrant season. Music filled the air and locals and travellers came together to celebrate the Malta International Wine Festival, held at the historic Argotti Gardens. There, glasses clinked under the stars, showcasing some of Malta’s finest local wines, international labels, and live performances that kept the night alive.
Hidden Coves & Coastal Escapes
June also took us off the beaten path. With the help of private boats and expert local guides, our travelers explored secret coves and untouched beaches only accessible by sea. These hidden gems became perfect backdrops for swimming, snorkelling, and quiet reflection – away from the crowds and deep in nature.
